Welcome Centers

Working together to build a stronger Mississippi Tourism Product

Mississippi's Welcome Centers are attractions in themselves and should be your first stop when entering the state. Each Welcome Center is built to resemble the antebellum structures Mississippi is so famous for, and are beautifully decorated with fine antique furnishings. Neatly manicured grounds feature picnic tables and grills, telephones, recreational vehicle waste disposal facilities, 24-hour security, restrooms and weather information. Motorcoach parking is available, as well as complimentary refreshments. Regular hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

Located in Greenville, near the Mississippi River, is the state's most unusual Welcome Center. The River Belle was constructed for the 1984 World's Fair, held in New Orleans. It was such a hit, that after the fair the River Belle was disassymbled and relocated for use as a welcome center. Today, this beautiful replica of a riverboat is filled with antiques, offers special exhibits and is hosted by some of the friendliest people you'll ever encounter.
