Mississippi's newest city encompasses the Choctaw Indian reservation, where this remarkable tribe of Native Americans lives. Legend speaks of a people that sprang from the mouth of a cave located at the sacred site of Nanih Waiya, near Choctaw, Mississippi. They prospered and grew strong, and when troubled times came, they allied themselves with the English to fight the French and Indian War.
